We graze cattle through spring and summer at varying weights and then look to start getting them on feed.  We will start with just 1-3 lbs. per head per day then slowly increase that till they are fed about 2-2.5% of their body weight.  We specialize in cattle that are set for freezer beef and based on our customers feed performance (rate of gain and feed conversions) and the anticipated harvest date and weight for those animals.  We will use those two data points to help determine when and how big cattle need to be delivered to meet the harvest criteria of the producer and their customers.
